About 15 miles west of Abergavenny, after the village of Bwlch, turn left onto the
minor road signposted to Talybont-
Turn right onto the minor road through Talybont, signposted to Pencelli and continue for about 3 miles to arrive in Pencelli.
As you enter the village, stay on the main road, crossing over the Brecon and Monmouth Canal and look for the Royal Oak pub on the left.
Turn right opposite the pub, into the lane which leads to the pub car park and some other houses. The private parking spaces on the left as you turn in are for the use of neighbouring properties, of which Darnley Cottage is one, although the arrangements are informal and they may be full. Park here if you can, if not there is plenty of room in the lane.
Next to the parking spaces is a blue gate, which gives access to the rear of the property, the easiest route with luggage. The front door is back up to the road and second building on the right.
