From the North and North East, take the M5 to junction 8, then the M50 to Ross on Wye and the A40 via Monmouth the outskirts of Abergavenny.
From the South, South West and East, take the M4 to junction 24, then the A449 towards Monmouth, turning onto the A40 (west) near Raglan. Continue on the A40 for about 8 miles, to the outskirts of Abergavenny.
At the roundabout, pass under the railway bridge and take the A465, Heads of the Valley road towards Merthyr Tydfil, for about 3 miles. At the next roundabout, turn right onto the A4077, signposted Gilwern & Crickhowell.
Follow the A4077, turning right again in Gilwern, towards Crickhowell for about 3 miles to the traffic lights at the Usk river bridge just outside Crickhowell. Do not cross the river, but carry straight on towards Llangynidr for about 0.5 mile and take the first lane to the left, signposted Dardy and Ty Croeso B&B.
Almost immediately bear right, following the sign to Ty Croeso, up a steep hill.
At the top of the hill, turn right, crossing the Brecon & Monmouth Canal at Workhouse Bridge (no 118).
NOW BE CAREFUL!
Ignore the left turn immediately over the bridge, but turn next left into our shared
driveway, by a house called Okefenokee. This is before the turning to the Ty Croeso
B&B -
Come down the drive and Hengwaithdy is the next house on the left.
